Chain Idler Bülk

Product information "Chain Idler Bülk"

The roller base body itself is milled from one piece and is extremely torsion-resistant.
This makes the drivetrain with these chain idlers significantly stiffer in the start and sprint.
All idlers are black anodized.

Technical data

Chain roller Bülk front:
Outer diameter: 99 mm
Number of teeth: 23
Axle diameter: 10 mm

Chain roller Bülk rear:
Outer diameter: 99 mm
Number of teeth: 23
Axle diameter: 8 mm
with sintered bronze bushing (this allows lateral adjustment to the ideal chain line when shifting)

Note

With the rear chain guide rollers it is essential that the axle does not have too much roughness, so that the sintered bronze bushing can slide back and forth laterally as wear-free as possible. This must be checked during installation. If the bronze bushing sits too tightly on the axle, or moves back and forth only poorly due to the roughness, the following measures can help:
  • Clamp the axle in a vice with aluminum jaws and grind over it circumferentially with a strip of abrasive cloth grit >120.
  • Clamp half of the axle in a pillar drilling machine or a lathe, first remove one side with fine abrasive cloth, then reclamp and grind over the second half. It should always be checked that the bronze bush can slide evenly over the entire width.
  • For better sliding, finally remove the axle with very fine abrasive cloth >240 LENGTHS, oil a little and reinstall.
